Ms Leanne Galayini

Ms Galayini works for Legacy Club Service (LCS) in Sydney. She is the People and Culture Manager. Leanne oversees the day to day Human Resource functions, Learning and Development coordination, Volunteer management and Information and Policy management for Staff, Legatees and volunteers. In previous roles for LCS, Leanne oversaw the day to day running of the administration support for Legatees and Legacy Beneficiaries and prior to that as a Community Services Worker visited war widows and their families. Advocating, assessing and referring widows and their dependants with disabilities to appropriate services. Improving the quality of their lives.
Leanne has previously worked in the Private RTO (Registered Training Organisation) Sector. Managing a large team of tutors. These tutors assisted students who were completing studies in Diploma's such as:
- Community Services,
- Youth Work,
- Youth Justice,
- Mental Health
- AOD (Alcohol and other Drugs) and Counselling.
In a previous role for DVA, Ms Galayini was the Training and information Program (TIP) Co-ordinator. As well as TIP Trainer. In this role she organised and facilitated Welfare Officer Training.
Ms Galayini is the founder and President of Adult Kids of Veterans Australia (AKOVA). This group was originally known as KOV-NSW, a group established to provide support for the Sons and Daughters of Vietnam Veterans.
Ms Galayini has completed a:
- Diploma in Management and Leadership.
- Diploma in Community Services
- Cert 4 in TAE (Training and Education) including (LLN) Literacy, Learning and Numeracy.
- Diploma of Human Resources (currently completing)
Ms Galayini advocates not only for the needs of this group but also those of the generations to come affected by being part of a Veteran family. Championing Veteran health across on all media platforms.
